Ukraine has identified the geographic scope of its active response to strikes by Russian forces, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"SSU Head Oleksandr Poklad reported on preparations for our active response to the Russian strikes. The geography of our response has been determined," the head of state said.

The president said that the timing of Ukraine's response would be chosen to ensure it produces results.

Earlier today, September 4, Russian forces struck the SBU building in central Kyiv. An enemy drone was flying directly toward the office of SBU chief Oleksandr Poklad.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the latest attack on the capital. He ordered an "adequate" and "tangible" response to the Russian strike.

The attack damaged the SBU building and left people injured. Civilian infrastructure nearby was also damaged. A significant number of people were in central Kyiv at the time of the strike.
