Ukraine holds the line near Pokrovsk amid intense Russian assault

Russian troops continue large-scale assault operations in several frontline areas in the Donetsk region. The situation is the hottest at the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions, according to the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy tried to conduct offensive actions in the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretske, and Malynivka. Attacks were also registered near Myroliubivka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Hrodivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Horikhove, and Oleksiivka.
According to the military, the situation remains tense but under control.
“The defense forces are taking measures to prevent the deterioration of the tactical situation,” emphasizes the Khortytsia military command.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy became more active in the areas of Maliivka, Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Komar, and Shevchenko.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the offensive and fighting with the enemy's superior forces, inflicting losses and preventing their advance.
Situation at the front
Russian troops have intensified their assaults along almost the entire front line. Over the last day, 170 combat clashes were recorded.
Russian troops intensified attacks in most areas, conducted 65 air strikes, dropped 113 guided bombs, fired 5,826 times, including 96 times from multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged 3,004 kamikaze drones.
Air strikes were recorded in the areas of Vilkhuvatka and Pidlyman (Kharkiv region), Pokrovsk (Donetsk region), Berezove (Dnipropetrovsk region), Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Orikhiv, and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia region).
The Russian troops suffered 1,220 losses over the last day.
Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized six tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, 24 artillery systems, 147 operational and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, and 93 units of vehicles.
