Ukraine continues to maintain strong positions and retains important advantages under current wartime conditions. The country is gradually transforming into a security exporter and an important partner for other nations, stated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha during the Strategic Ark conference organized by the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM).

According to Sybiha, Ukraine is no longer only receiving support but is increasingly becoming part of the global security system itself.

"Ukraine holds the line," the minister said. According to him, this reflects the country’s emerging role as a provider of defense solutions.

Sybiha stressed that Ukrainian drone technologies have become a game-changer and a factor that gives Ukraine a significant advantage.

He also emphasized that under current conditions, Ukraine is no longer acting solely as a country in need of protection, but as a state capable of offering security partnerships to others.

According to Sybiha, Ukraine has become both a security partner and a security exporter, calling it a new reality.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha proposed involving European Union countries in possible mediation efforts aimed at reaching a mutual agreement between Ukraine and Russia to halt strikes on airport infrastructure.

Under Kyiv’s proposal, both sides could agree to stop attacks on airports. Sybiha noted that such a format could also be of interest to Russia, as major Russian aviation hubs are increasingly becoming targets of Ukrainian long-range strikes.

The minister also said Ukraine expects full-fledged accession talks with the European Union to begin on May 26. According to him, Kyiv hopes to move to the next stage of the European integration process within the coming weeks.

The Foreign Minister previously stated that both the battlefield situation and Ukraine’s European integration process have changed significantly. According to him, developments on the battlefield and progress toward EU membership are shaping a new reality for the country.

Sybiha also said Ukraine had passed through the most difficult winter period in a more resilient position. According to him, the front line has been stabilized, while the effectiveness of countering enemy drones has reached around 90%.
