Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Energiya plant in the Russian city of Yelets, in the Lipetsk region. A fire broke out on the facility’s premises after one of the production workshops was hit, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the attacks were carried out on October 25 and during the night of October 26.

The target was a workshop that manufactures power supply components for Russian weapons. A fire broke out on the plant’s premises following the attack.

The Energiya plant is important to Russia’s military-industrial complex. According to the General Staff, it is Russia’s only manufacturer of batteries for guidance and correction modules used in aerial bombs.

In addition, the plant manufactures power supply components for Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems and sea-launched cruise missiles.

The damage to the production workshop could complicate supplies of batteries needed by the Russian military to use missiles, guided aerial bombs, and other weapons.

General Staff confirms damage from previous strikes

The General Staff also reported the results of an assessment of the damage caused by previous attacks on Russia’s military-industrial complex facilities.

In particular, the destruction of the main microchip production workshop at the Proton-Elektroteks plant in the city of Oryol, in Russia’s Oryol region, has been confirmed. The facility was struck on October 23. The plant’s building and servers were also damaged.

According to the General Staff, the damage to this facility complicates the production of components for cruise and ballistic missiles that Russian forces use to attack Ukrainian cities.

Another target struck on October 23 was a site for storing, preparing, and launching attack drones near Donetsk. Three buildings used to prepare and equip UAVs were damaged, along with one launch rail.

In addition, the General Staff confirmed damage to the Toliattikauchuk plant in the city of Tolyatti, in Russia’s Samara region. The facility was struck on October 24. The attack damaged a process pipeline, two butyl rubber production units, and one distillation unit.

According to the General Staff’s assessment, this damage affects the production chain for solid rocket fuel used in tactical and ballistic missiles.

On the evening of October 24, Ukrainian forces attacked the Russian city of Omsk using FP-1 drones. The target was the Omsk Kauchuk plant, one of Russia’s largest petrochemical enterprises.

In addition, on October 25, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck Russian radar stations in the Belgorod region, command posts in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, and concentrations of Russian troops in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
