The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck the Yaroslavl oil refinery in northern Russia, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On April 25 and during the night of April 26, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against enemy targets on the territory of the Russian Federation and in temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine.

In particular, the Yaroslavl oil refinery in the city of Yaroslavl was hit, with a fire reported on the plant’s premises.

The Yaroslavl refinery is a strategically important enterprise and one of the key facilities in Russia's oil refining industry.

Its processing capacity is about 15 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, which are critical for the logistics of the Russian military.

The extent of the damage is being clarified.

Ukrainian forces also hit Russian military trains in the areas of the settlements of Menchuhove and Kelerivka in temporarily occupied Donetsk region.

In addition, according to the results of previous strikes on April 24, hits have been confirmed on the Kasta-2E1 radar station in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, and on a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system in Mariupol, Donetsk region.

The enemy's losses and the extent of the damage are being clarified.

Attacks on Russian oil refineries

As a reminder, on the night of April 23, drones from the Alpha special operations center of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the Gorky oil pumping station in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region.

It was also previously reported that in Russia, two oil refineries owned by Rosneft suspended operations after a drone attack. These include the Tuapse and Novokuibyshevsk refineries.

Additionally, on the night of April 18, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck four important facilities of Russia's oil refining sector.
