Ukraine expects to open all six EU accession negotiation clusters by year-end. No political obstacles remain, especially after resolving issues with Hungary, according to Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

He said the opening of two new clusters was an important step toward Ukraine's EU membership. Four of the six clusters are now open, and Kyiv aims to launch negotiations on the remaining areas by the end of the year.

"We have put our relations with Hungary in order, which allowed us to unblock this issue, and as of today, there are no other political obstacles to opening the clusters," Minister Sybiha emphasized.

He added that Ukraine's European partners share this approach. In particular, opening the remaining clusters aligns with Ireland's position, which will hold the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2026.

The foreign minister also said Ukraine had already begun talks with Lithuania, which will hold the Council of the EU presidency in the first half of 2027, on the next steps in Ukraine's European integration.
