Ukraine explains why Russia keeps failing to hold key ground in shattered village of Kamianske

Russian forces have failed to establish a foothold in Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia region, despite repeated attempts. Ukrainian forces continue to hold several positions within the settlement, informs Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Voloshyn, Russian troops are trying to push Ukrainian forces out of Kamianske but have not succeeded. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold the northern and northeastern outskirts of the settlement.
"The enemy cannot establish control in Kamianske because they destroyed our positions to leave us nowhere to hold. As a result, they have no ground to hold there either. They only enter, infiltrate, and we try to eliminate all these groups infiltrating the settlement," he explained.
On July 31, analysts from the DeepState project labeled Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia as occupied by Russian forces. The Ukrainian military quickly denied this. According to them, Russians failed to secure a foothold in Kamianske.
Recently, we reported that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi ordered a reinforcement of defenses near Kamianske after increased Russian activity.
In addition, Russian forces attempted a breakthrough near Stepnohirsk, close to Kamianske, using a single sabotage and reconnaissance group. None of the Russian soldiers returned.
