Russia intensifies operations near Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine orders reinforcement

The Russian army has intensified its activity near the settlement of Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian defenses in the area need to be strengthened, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to his statement.
According to him, there are relatively fewer combat engagements in this direction compared to other areas. However, the enemy is intensifying offensive actions in the area of the settlement of Kamianske. In particular, they are actively using guided aerial bombs, artillery, strike drones, and small assault groups.
In response to the enemy's increased activity, orders were issued regarding combat operations and the fulfillment of current needs.
"We are aware of the Russian forces' plans. On our side, measures are being taken to improve coordination between military units and to strengthen forces in order to ensure the stability of our defense and prevent the enemy from approaching closer to Zaporizhzhia," Syrskyi stated.
