There will be no second day of talks in Miami involving representatives of Ukraine, Europe and the US. The talks ended ahead of schedule, according to Alex Raufoglu, a senior Washington correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
Sources told the journalist that there would be no second day of talks.
"Miami talks concluded sooner than planned. No second day," Raufoglu wrote.
Talks in Miami
Representatives of the US, the UK, France, Germany, the European Commission, Ukraine and NATO held talks in Miami on de-escalation and ending the war with Russia before winter.
Part of the discussions focused on the most urgent issues: how to prepare for winter, maintain the resilience of the energy system and ensure grain exports.
The sides also discussed security guarantees and long-term arrangements intended to protect Ukraine and Europe from future wars. Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, economic growth and EU accession were also discussed separately.
US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff described the talks as productive. According to him, they helped identify issues to be addressed before the next US contact with Russia.
Meanwhile, it became known yesterday that the US Treasury Department had authorized Russian diesel supplies, with sanctions lifted until April 7, 2027.
Russia will supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to the US and global markets. The US Treasury Department is already issuing a temporary license that will allow the aggressor country to begin deliveries.
