Russia will supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to the American and global markets. The US Treasury Department is already issuing a temporary license that will allow Russia to begin shipments, according to a statement by US President Donald Trump and a post by the US Treasury Department.
"I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter," Trump stated.
Furthermore, given the condition of oil refineries, Russia will subsequently supply 3,000,000 tons of diesel fuel over a short period.
At the direction of the US President, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is immediately issuing a temporary general license allowing the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the global market.
Amid news that Trump held negotiations with the Russian president and agreed on oil supplies, the Russian market is showing rapid growth.
Radio Liberty journalist Alex Raufoglu reported that the US Treasury Department has allowed the supply of Russian diesel, lifting sanctions until April 7, 2027.
Recently, Trump stated that the reason for the rise in diesel fuel prices was Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil refineries, not the war in the Middle East.
In recent weeks, Trump has repeatedly stated that Ukraine must stop striking Russian infrastructure, as this allegedly causes a global diesel shortage.
