Ukraine downs ballistic missiles, Zircon and drones, but Russian strikes get through

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with drones and missiles. Some were intercepted, but strikes were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The attack began at 6:00 p.m. on September 28. Russian forces launched a Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missile and two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles. All the missiles were launched from Russia's Kursk region. Russia also launched 152 Shahed attack drones, 82 of which were jet-powered. Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoy drones were also used.
The drones were launched from the areas of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia. They were also launched from temporarily occupied Donetsk, as well as from Hvardiiske and Chauda in Russian-occupied Crimea.
The aerial attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., 109 targets had been shot down or suppressed. They included a Zircon/Oniks missile, two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 106 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones.
Strikes by aerial weapons were recorded at 24 locations. Debris from intercepted targets fell at another 16 locations.
Several enemy drones remain in the air.
Debris fell at several locations in Kyiv. A non-residential building caught fire in the Pecherskyi district, while a fire broke out in one of the buildings of an educational institution.
On September 28, a Russian drone struck the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in central Kyiv. The death toll later rose to two.
On the same day, Russian forces struck the Dobrobut medical center. People were injured there, and the clinic temporarily suspended operations.
