Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, at the "Ukraine. Year 2025" forum, commented on the continuation of negotiations with partners regarding the rare earth metals agreement, assuring that no one has refused to proceed.

The President’s Office addressed the situation surrounding the cooperation agreement on rare earth metals, emphasizing that negotiations with partners are ongoing and in working mode.

"This can work within the broader framework of security guarantees, both military and other. This is a very important process; therefore, of course, we continue this dialogue with our partners to ensure no other obstacles. No one has refused anything, we are having a normal working process," said Yermak.

He also stressed that Ukraine is actively continuing dialogue with international partners, and the process is moving forward without any disruptions.

US Proposal for $500 billion fund

Ukraine rejected a US proposal to create a $500 billion fund, which was supposed to be part of an agreement involving the transfer of a portion of the country’s mineral resources to Washington. Bloomberg cited, a Ukrainian official familiar with the negotiations reported this.

According to Bloomberg’s source, the fund was intended to compensate for the aid provided by the US to Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression. However, the Ukrainian side claims that the actual amount of US support is significantly lower and approximately $90 billion.
