There will be no Black Sea ceasefire
Ukraine needs a ceasefire to resume grain exports through the Black Sea. However, there is currently little hope of that happening.
"Unfortunately, it’s hard to imagine any possible solutions in the nearest months on this issue," Vysotskyi said.
In his view, Ukraine should be prepared for the situation to remain critical.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, Ukraine received information from its partners that Russia had rejected all proposals for a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
"All of the possible rounds have been tried, and so far none of the results," he concluded.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ukraine had already proposed an immediate ceasefire, but Russia has shown no willingness to agree and continues to find reasons to reject it.
In addition, 51 UN member states jointly called on Russia to agree to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire, stressing that Ukraine had agreed to such a step back in March 2025.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Russia had expressed interest in a ceasefire with Ukraine.
