As a result of strikes deep inside Russian territory, Ukrainian forces managed to destroy more than 60,000 tons of ammunition at a Baltic Fleet arsenal near St. Petersburg, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy received a briefing from the head of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR), Oleh Ivashchenko. The discussion focused on the implementation of "long-range sanctions" against Russia for its war and the steps needed to bring peace closer.
"In particular, among the recent successful target engagements on the occupier’s territory, it is worth noting the destruction of more than 60,000 tons of ammunition at a Baltic Fleet arsenal near St. Petersburg," the President wrote on X.
In addition, intelligence analysis confirmed that key targets among Russia's military production facilities had been successfully hit.
Ukraine's Defense Forces accurately struck Russian enterprises producing radio electronics and other critical components used by the Russian military.
Recent strikes on Russian targets
On the night of June 24, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a special operation in occupied Crimea. Air defense systems near Kerch and infrastructure at two military airfields — Saky and Hvardiiske — were targeted.
Also overnight, drones operated by Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck Sevastopol's main power substation.
In addition, Ukrainian drones hit the Orenburg gas processing plant and Russia's only helium production plant.
