Ukraine defense chief delays European visits amid surge in Russian attacks

Due to the growing number of Russian attacks, Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara postponed planned trips to Germany and Norway, according to sources in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
According to sources in the Defense Ministry, the current situation in Ukraine requires the ministry's leadership to give it immediate attention.
In particular, there is a need to accelerate all processes related to countering Russian strikes.
For this reason, Khmara's in-person visits to Germany and Norway were postponed. At the same time, talks with partners are continuing.
The Ministry of Defense said that communication with representatives of partner countries will take place in other formats.
At the same time, the sides are working on new aid packages and solutions needed by Ukraine.
In early September, Yevhenii Khmara held a phone call with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
During the call, Khmara informed his German counterpart about the intensification of Russian air attacks. He identified jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles as the main threats.
