Russian soldiers surrender to Ukrainian forces near Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, despite Kremlin propaganda claiming the village was captured, according to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the military reported, 12 Russian soldiers surrendered in southern Ukraine in a single day.
Video footage shows two Russian soldiers voluntarily giving up near Novodanylivka.
"The reports of the supposed capture of this settlement are false. The occupiers suffer from extremely low morale due to inhumane treatment, terrible conditions, and reckless decisions by their command, which sends soldiers to the meat grinder battles," the Ukrainian forces said.

They added that Russian soldiers are refusing to die and are making the only reasonable choice.
Ukrainian troops ensure the safe escort of prisoners so they are not executed by other Russian soldiers.
Russian false claims
Recently, the Russian Ministry of Defense exaggerated successes, claiming control over Novodanylivka.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have conducted successful operations near Kupiansk. Previously, Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the Russian military leadership repeatedly claimed to have captured the settlement.
Meanwhile, as of December 12, it became known that only around 200 Russian soldiers remain in the town, and they have already been surrounded by Ukrainian forces.
Additionally, Ukrainian defenders have managed to liberate the villages of Kindrashivka and Radkivka, located near Kupiansk.
