Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the villages of Kindrashivka, Radkivka, and a number of neighborhoods in northern Kupiansk. This allowed them to cut off Russian troop supply routes and significantly stabilize the situation in the Kupiansk direction, according to the Khartiia Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Ukrainian soldiers broke through to the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, completely blocking the Russian land routes into the city.

"As a result of heavy fighting, the 13th Khartiia Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine liberated the village of Radkivka and its surroundings, as well as the surrounding forests," the report says.

Ukrainian defenders also drove the Russians out of several dozen houses in the north of Kupiansk itself. Ukrainian fighters completely liberated the village of Kindrashivka, its surroundings, and the surrounding forests.

Ukrainian military reports that from September 22 to December 12, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,027 Russian soldiers, wounded 291, and captured 13. At the same time, Russia's attempts to break through the city's defenses were repelled, and Kupiansk is currently under the fire control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"Kupiansk is under the fire control of the Defense Forces, and all attempts by the enemy to break through the defenses are failing," the National Guard of Ukraine says.

Fighting in Kupiansk

In early September, Russian troops were able to advance towards Kupiansk, using a pipeline for their attack. This led to a sharp escalation of the situation, with Russian sabotage groups entering the city from the north.

A few days after the Russian troops began using the gas pipeline to advance, Ukrainian defenders blew it up.

In November, Russian forces were trying to break through to the center of Kupiansk from the north and west to reach the R07 road (Kupiansk-Chuhuiv), which is of important operational and tactical significance for this direction.

At the same time, Russian propaganda actively spread fake news about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the city.

Today, December 12, it became known that the Defense Forces repelled Russia's offensive near Kupiansk. Ukrainian troops blocked all approaches to the city and surrounded a Russian group of over 200 soldiers.

Fighting continues in the center of Kupiansk, but Ukrainian units are gradually pushing back the Russian troops. It is expected that the city will be completely liberated.
