If the US decides to reduce military aid to Ukraine, our country will lose. Domestic production is insufficient to counter the threat, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his interview with Fox News.

During the conversation, the journalist asked the president for clarification regarding his recent remarks about the possibility of negotiations. These comments referred to an interview Zelenskyy gave to Ukrainian Radio, where he made the following statement:

"We are an independent country. During this war, both our people and I personally in negotiations with the US, with Trump, Biden, and European leaders, we proved that the rhetoric of 'sit down and listen' doesn't work with us," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Recalling this context, the Fox News journalist asked Zelenskyy what would happen if the US government reduced military aid to Ukraine. In response, the Ukrainian president stated that, in such a case, Ukraine would likely lose.

“If they will cut, I think we will lose. Of course, anyway, we will stay, and we will fight. We have production, but it’s not enough to prevail. And I think it is not enough to survive,” the president said.

Authorization to use Western weapons against Russia

Recently, it was reported that US President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range American ATACMS missiles. Following his decision, the UK and France also allowed using Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles against Russia. However, these weapons can only be used against targets in the Kursk region.

Yesterday, President Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine had received authorization to use long-range weapons. He said efforts will now focus on reducing Russia's military capabilities.

The president also stated that Ukraine possesses significant long-range capabilities. However, he added that details regarding these capabilities would not be disclosed.
