Ukraine and Slovenia reach new agreement - Aspects

Ukraine and Slovenia have reached a new agreement on the recovery of frontline regions.
This was announced by Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba, according to his statement.
According to Kuleba, he held talks with Slovenian Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič.
"The focus of the conversation was on developing cooperation in recovery and community support, engaging Slovenian businesses in Ukrainian projects, and strengthening technical cooperation between institutions of both countries," Kuleba said.
According to him, Slovenia is a consistent partner of Ukraine, providing financial assistance and direct involvement in a range of projects, from humanitarian demining to infrastructure restoration.
He explained that Slovenia is already implementing initiatives in Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, and Mykolaiv regions, including restoration efforts, the construction of rehabilitation centers, and other medical facilities.
"We agreed on new projects in the fields of water supply, energy efficiency, and municipal infrastructure for front-line regions, as well as on Slovenian companies’ involvement in the reconstruction of damaged housing, the development of green energy, and waste management," Kuleba added.
Slovenia's support for Ukraine
Slovenia joined the Czech-led initiative on joint procurement of large-caliber ammunition outside the EU for Ukraine, allocating 1 million euros.
In 2024, Slovenia delivered 26 armored combat vehicles, 3 infantry fighting vehicles, and a new batch of drones to Ukraine.
Ukraine has also signed a bilateral security guarantee agreement with Slovenia.
