Ukraine and Russia on precipice of a ceasefire - US special envoy

Ukraine and Russia are close to a complete ceasefire. For such a step, the conditions of both countries need to be agreed upon, Keith Kellogg, the US President's special envoy to Ukraine, stated this on Fox Business.
"What we want to have is a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire. Once you get there, it's going to be very hard to restart the war again. That's what I believe," Kellogg said.
In his opinion, the next step is to form the terms of the agreement, meaning documents that will outline the positions of Ukraine and Russia, and then "bring them together."
Kellogg stated that US President Donald Trump is in contact with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and he will be able to broker an agreement between the two countries.
"And I really believe that we are on the precipice of getting a ceasefire, but both sides will have to accommodation. Neither side is going to get everything they want. There will have to be marginalization there to get to a solution. But President Trump can do this," he added.
Ukraine and Russia ceasefire
The main obstacle to achieving a full 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia is Russia's position.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on this proposal, began to put forward a series of conditions related to arms supplies to Ukraine, mobilization in Ukraine, and more.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to a complete ceasefire without any additional conditions.
Today, April 2, the head of the Ukrainian state emphasized that achieving Russia's agreement to a full ceasefire is possible through pressure from the US.
