Ukraine and Poland join forces to develop anti-drone systems

Poland will establish cooperation with Ukraine in developing systems for shooting down Russian drones, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says.
The head of the Polish government notes that during talks with European partners in NATO, he heard words of full support and understanding of the need to organize support for the entire eastern flank, especially for Poland.
Tusk noted that thanks to such solidarity, there were not only words of support, but also declarations of practical assistance to Poland from the President of France and the leaders of Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced close cooperation with Ukraine on anti-drone systems.
He calls Ukrainian systems the best for creating the most effective anti-drone shield, as they have been tested on the battlefield.
"We have already agreed on specific negotiations and exchange of experience with the Ukrainian side in the coming hours," Tusk said.
Cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in drones development
After a massive Russian drone raid on the eastern regions of Poland on September 10, the Foreign Ministers of the Lublin Triangle countries called on their partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defense in connection with the escalation of the war and the tense situation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is open to cooperation to shoot down all types of drones. He added that a million-dollar missile cannot shoot down drones that cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Zelenskyy also compared the incursion of Russian drones into Poland with the illegal annexation of Crimea.
