Ukraine aims to deploy 1000 interceptor drones daily

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a task for drone manufacturers: Ukraine must have the capability to deploy at least 1,000 interceptor drones per day, the head of state announced.
"I spoke today with interceptor drone manufacturers. I visited a facility, thanked the team, and saw how protection is being built for our cities, villages, and our people," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Ukraine knows how to create impressive things and continues to maintain technological leadership in protecting lives.
"The task for manufacturers is clear: Ukraine must be capable of deploying at least 1,000 interceptor drones per day within a set timeframe. Government officials are securing contracts, and we are also working continuously with partners to ensure there is no funding shortage," the president noted.
Production of interceptor drones in Ukraine
As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated, Ukraine plans to produce hundreds of thousands of interceptor drones this year, as the number of downed Russian Shaheds is expected to keep growing.
According to him, production of these drones has already begun. They vary in price and capabilities. Overall, the drone manufacturing effort is estimated at $6 billion.
Additionally, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine has already signed four contracts worth over 3 billion UAH for the supply of interceptor drones capable of countering Russian UAVs.
