On Wednesday, February 12, the UK released images of the Gravehawk air defense system, which was specifically developed for Ukraine, according to Forces News.

The Gravehawk system was designed to counter drones, cruise missiles, and aircraft. It was created from scratch within 18 months at a cost of £6 million (over $7 million).

Defense Minister John Healey, who visited NATO headquarters in Brussels, stated that this system is proof of the UK's long-term commitment to Ukraine in its war with Russia.

The system is based on Soviet-made R-73 air-to-air missiles, adapted for use with a ground-based launcher. Several British defense companies were involved in the development, although their identities have not been disclosed.

Additionally, the launch system is housed in a standard ISO container, making it easily transportable by trucks, trains, or ships. The crew consists of five people.
