The UK announces the allocation of a defense package worth over €574 million for air defense and missiles for Ukraine.

According to him, the United Kingdom will make a large tranche for the first time to purchase weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the PURL program. In addition, another thousand light multi-purpose missiles for air defense systems manufactured in Belfast will be delivered to Ukraine under a separate agreement worth €448 million.

"As we approach the fifth year of Putin's full-scale invasion, the UK and our allies are more committed than ever to supporting Ukraine," he adds.

Military cooperation between Ukraine and United Kingdom

Yesterday, February 11, the United Kingdom allocated a funding package for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. The country is joining the PURL program.

Ukraine and the United Kingdom are stepping up cooperation in the field of drones. In particular, this concerns the joint production of Octopus interceptor drones.

In addition, earlier, during the Ramstein meeting, the UK Minister of Defense stated that the UK would finance the production of a thousand long-range drones for Ukraine within a year.

At the end of November, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed an agreement under which interceptor drones began to be produced on British territory.
