Anwar Gargash, an advisor to the UAE President, stated on Wednesday, April 8, that his country had also emerged victorious in the war between the United States and Iran.
"The UAE triumphed in a war we sincerely sought to avoid, and we prevailed through an epic national defense that safeguarded sovereignty and dignity and protected our achievements in the face of treacherous aggression," his statement reads.
Gargash adds that the UAE is now moving toward managing a "complex regional landscape" with "greater leverage, sharper insight, and a more solid capacity to influence and shape the future".

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had achieved a complete and final victory following the conclusion of a temporary ceasefire agreement with Iran.
"Total and complete victory. 100 percent. No question about it," he emphasized.
According to CNN, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council also declared a victory following the ceasefire.
"We convey glad tidings to the great nation of Iran that nearly all of the war’s objectives have been achieved, and your valiant sons have driven the enemy into a state of historic helplessness and enduring defeat," the statement from Iranian officials reads.
US-Iran ceasefire
Last night, just hours before the US ultimatum expired, Trump announced that he had agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran in exchange for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In addition, media outlets reported that the first direct talks between the US and Iran since the start of the war are scheduled for Friday, April 10, in the capital of Pakistan. The US delegation will likely be led by US Vice President JD Vance.
