U.S. House of Representatives to vote on Biden impeachment investigation
On Wednesday, December 13, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on whether to launch an official investigation into the impeachment of U.S. President Joe Biden, according to Reuters.
According to an unnamed Republican congressman, House spokesman Mike Johnson informed his colleagues of the decision at a closed session.
The vote will take place on the day when members of the House of Representatives are scheduled to leave for a three-week recess.
House Republicans accuse the president and his family of improperly profiting from political decisions in which Biden allegedly participated as vice president during the 2009-2017 administration of President Barack Obama.
They also accused the U.S. Department of Justice of unlawfully interfering in the investigation of businessman Hunter Biden.
At the same time, Republicans in the House of Representatives have not yet been able to provide evidence linking Biden's actions as vice president to his son's business.
At the same time, Republicans expect that, if supported, the investigation will be completed within the next two months, and the House of Representatives will draft articles of impeachment no earlier than spring 2024.
Biden's impeachment
Back in September, Republican Kevin McCarthy announced the launch of an official investigation into the impeachment of U.S. President Joe Biden. Meanwhile, the head of the White House is convinced that his son Hunter, suspected of tax violations, did not commit any illegal actions.
Later, the Speaker of the House of Representatives said that the decision to impeach the current President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, would be made "very soon."
