U.S. Elections 2024: Trump surpasses Biden in another voter poll
Former US President Donald Trump has surpassed the current head of the White House, Joe Biden, in a recent poll of American voters, according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to the poll, Trump leads Biden in a hypothetical vote with 47% to 43%.
At the same time, the data indicates that if five potential independent candidates are added to the list, Trump's advantage increases by six more points, reaching 37% against Biden's 31%.
The Wall Street Journal noted that the survey demonstrates an increase in dissatisfaction with Biden among voters, with only 23% of respondents approving of the current president's policies, and 53% saying his actions have harmed them.
Meanwhile, more than half of those surveyed approve of Trump's domestic policies, with another 37% saying they have suffered from his actions.
Biden's job approval stands at 37%, the lowest during his term, while 61% see his image in a negative light.
Sociologists pointed out that Biden lacks support from several groups that consistently vote for the Democratic Party, including young people, Black, and Latino voters.
