Ukrainian high jumpers Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Yuliya Levchenko have qualified for the 2025 Diamond League season final. Both athletes earned their spots based on results from 13 stages of the competition.

Mahuchikh's disappointing performance in Lausanne

The last stage before the final was in rainy Lausanne. Levchenko cleared 1.86 m, sharing sixth place with Germany's Imke Onnen and Serbia's Angelina Topic.

In contrast, reigning series champion Mahuchikh ended the tournament without a result for the first time in a long while.

After this stage, Levchenko added three ranking points, while Mahuchikh scored none. Despite this, Yaroslava had already secured her place in the final following the Paris stage.

Points distribution and Ukrainian rankings

Overall, Mahuchikh has 35 points, ranking third, with three stage victories this season in Xiamen and Shanghai. This will be her fifth consecutive Diamond League final, having won silver in 2021 and gold three times in a row from 2022 to 2024.

Levchenko, with 18 points, remains in the top six. Her best results this season are fourth places in Xiamen, Shanghai, and Stockholm. This will be Yuliya's sixth career final; she previously finished second three times: in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
