Rescuers have discovered the bodies of two more individuals as a result of a rocket strike on Kyiv on December 29, according to the Telegram channels of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kyiv City Military Administration.

The mayor of the capital has reported the discovery of another body beneath the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

"Rescuers retrieved the body of another victim from under the debris of a warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Currently, the number of casualties from the attack on the capital on December 29 is 18," announced Klitschko.

Meanwhile, the head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Serhii Popko, asserts that the number of casualties is 19 people.

"Two more fatalities. In total, it's now 19! Rescuers continue to discover victims of the Russian missile strike. The search and rescue operation is ongoing around the clock," wrote Popko.

Russian attack on Kyiv on December 29

In the night from December 28 to 29, Russian forces launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine, firing about 160 missiles of various types. Ukrainian air defense shot down over 30 enemy targets in the sky over Kyiv.

Initially, there were reports of 17 casualties from the attack. Later, this number increased to 28. Three deaths were also confirmed.
