Two killed and fifteen injured in latest Russian strike on Ukraine - Zelenskyy

Due to the massive overnight attack on July 21, two people were killed in Ukraine. As of now, 15 others have been injured, including a 12-year-old boy, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports.
According to Zelensky, the strikes caused damage in:
- Kyiv and Kyiv region;
- Kharkiv region;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In addition, enemy UAVs were shot down over:
- Sumy region;
- Khmelnytskyi region;
- Kirovohrad region;
- Mykolaiv region;
- Poltava region;
- Kherson region.
The Ukrainian President added that due to the massive attack in Kyiv, a kindergarten, residential buildings, and other civilian infrastructure caught fire. There is also damage to regular homes in Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and the surrounding region.
As of now, the confirmed number of casualties is:
- 15 injured, including a 12-year-old boy;
- 2 dead victims.
"Many targets were shot down - but unfortunately, not all. That is why we must continue scaling up our interceptor capabilities. This is the kind of solution that can protect us from massive attacks," Zelenskyy noted.
Overnight attack on Ukraine, July 21
On the night of July 21, Russian terrorists launched 450 aerial targets against Ukraine, including:

426 drones;

5 Kinzhal (Kh-47M2) aeroballistic missiles;

4 Kalibr cruise missiles;

1 Iskander-K cruise missile;
-
14 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
As of 09:30 a.m.Kyiv time, 224 aerial targets were confirmed destroyed or suppressed. In addition, 203 UAVs lost their targeting ability due to electronic warfare systems.
