Two dead after Russian drone attack hits Dnipro

Dnipro came under attack by an enemy drone overnight on February 1. The strike hit a private home, killing two people — a woman and a man, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha.
According to the official, an enemy drone destroyed a house in Dnipro overnight on February 1, killing two civilians.
The attack sparked a fire. One house was destroyed, two others were damaged, and a passenger car was also damaged.
Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire, but the consequences of the attack remain significant.
The head of the regional administration expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and urged residents to remain vigilant, follow safety rules, and report any suspicious objects or activity.

Aftermath of shelling in the Nikopol area
Over the evening and night, Russian forces intensified shelling of the Nikopol area, using artillery and FPV drones. The district center and the Marhanets community came under fire.
The attacks damaged two apartment buildings and four private homes, an outbuilding, a café, several shops, and vehicles. The shelling also hit a gas pipeline and a power line, creating risks for residents and critical infrastructure.
In addition, according to updated information, artillery shelling of the Pokrov community during the day on January 31 damaged another private home and an outbuilding.
Enemy attacks
As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily restricted train traffic between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The decision was made due to attacks on railway infrastructure and the detection of enemy drones near train routes.
