Twice in one place - Russian forces hit Kharkiv with S-300, medic injured
The Russian Federation shelled Kharkiv with S-300 missiles in the early hours of May 31. Russian army traditionally employed a tactic of double strikes, according to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
According to him, as of 02:15, three people were known to have been killed and 16 injured. Among the wounded is an emergency medical service medic and an ambulance vehicle was damaged.
"The enemy again used a tactic of double strikes, while medics, rescuers, and law enforcement officers were already working at the scene," Syniehubov wrote.
According to preliminary data, the Russian army struck with S-300 missiles in the Novobavarsky district of Kharkiv. All hits targeted exclusively civilian infrastructure.
According to the prosecutor's office, Russia launched S-300 and S-400 missiles at Kharkiv from the territory of the Belgorod region.
As a result of the shelling, five impacts were recorded in the Novobavarsky district:
- one missile hit a five-story residential building;
- other missiles hit near the five-story building;
- more than 20 multi-story residential buildings were damaged;
- a private enterprise was destroyed.
Shelling of Kharkiv
At midnight on May 31, Russia once again shelled the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. Several impacts were recorded in the densely populated residential area of the city. Later, this area was subjected to further shelling.
After some time, the first casualties from the shelling were reported, including children among the injured.
Also, overnight on May 30, as a result of another attack by the Russian army, seven people were injured.
