Iran is responsible for the Houthis attacks on ships in the Red Sea. The country will face “dire consequences”, stated US President Donald Trump on Truth Social.

Trump emphasized that hundreds of attacks by the Houthis, hated by the Yemeni people, are originating from Iran. The President vowed to deliver a strong response to any further attack by militants.

According to Trump, Iran is playing "the innocent victim" of terrorists over whom it allegedly lost control, but in reality, this is not the case.

"Iran has played ‘the innocent victim’ of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even so-called intelligence. Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire" Trump wrote.

Houthis' attacks

Yemeni Houthis continue to attack ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. In particular, they are trying to strike at American warships.

In response, US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen.

On Sunday, March 16, militants attacked an American ship again. This time it was the aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman.
