'You got beat to hell': Trump responds to Iran, threatens future strikes

During his speech, Trump responded to yesterday’s statement by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who claimed they had supposedly won the war.

"I said, 'Look, you're a man of great faith, a man who is highly respected in his country, you have to tell the truth. You got beat to hell. Israel was beat up too, they were both beat up," Trump said.

He also warned Tehran that the United States would continue to be prepared to strike Iran if necessary. He added that he would bomb Iran again "without a question" if it turns out that the country possesses uranium enriched to the level required to produce a nuclear bomb.

In his statement on Truth Social, Trump emphasized that Khamenei's claim that he won the war with Israel was a lie.

"As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie. His Country was decimated, his three evil nuclear sites were obliterated, and I knew exactly where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the US Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World, terminate his life. I saved him from a very ugly and ignominious death, and he does not have to say, 'Thank you, President Trump!'"

Moreover, Trump said that in the last act of the war, he demanded that Israel return a large group of planes that were already headed directly to Tehran.

"Tremendous damage would have ensued, and many Iranians would have been killed. It was going to be the biggest attack of the war, by far," he added.

Trump wanted to lift sanctions on Iran

At the same time, he revealed that over the past few days, he had been working on a possible lifting of sanctions and other measures that would have given Iran a much better chance at full and rapid recovery.

"But no, instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all work on sanction relief, and more. Iran has to get back into the world order flow, or things will only get worse for them. They are always so angry, hostile, and unhappy, and look at what it has gotten them - a burned out, blown up country, with no future, a decimated military, a horrible economy, and death all around them," Trump concluded.

On June 26, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei made his first public statement since the start of the Iran-Israel war.

He congratulated the Iranian people on a victory over Israel and the US, and claimed that "the Zionist regime was practically knocked out and crushed."

Tensions between the countries escalated on June 13. During the fighting, Israel inflicted significant damage on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

On June 22, the US bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran. US President Donald Trump compared the strikes to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Later, Tehran launched a retaliatory strike on the largest American military base in the Middle East - Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

However, the attack appeared largely symbolic, as there were no casualties. Trump thanked Iran for the timely warning and announced that a ceasefire had come into effect.
