US President Donald Trump wants Ukraine and Russia to end the war and restore trade and tourism, states US Vice President J.D. Vance.

According to him, Trump wants to see a world where "people are engaging in commerce with one another rather than killing one another."

Vance believes that the US leader is a tough person who is not inclined toward violence.

"It's like, why don't you stop killing each other and start trading with one another? Why, rather than Russia and Ukraine killing one another, why don't they actually engage in some commerce with one another, travel between the two countries, engage in some sort of cultural exchange?" the Vice President added.

He also clarified that "if we get more peace in the world," it will be good for all Americans. Therefore, Trump will continue to pursue an end to wars.

US peace efforts

Vance spoke about Trump’s intention to end Russia’s war against Ukraine amid rumors of a peace plan from Washington. According to media reports, such a plan was developed by former and current US and Russian officials.

According to reputable publications citing sources, the plan effectively advances the Kremlin’s maximalist demands on Ukraine to end the war.

In particular, the document includes a condition for transferring the Donbas under Russian occupation.

Today, November 20, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has received a draft of the US peace plan. The head of state is expected to discuss this initiative with Donald Trump in the coming days.
