Trump wants Europe to 'do something' with China to end war in Ukraine

Europe needs to "do something" with China. This is necessary to compel Beijing to use its influence on Russia and finally end the war in Ukraine, according to an interview with US President Donald Trump on Fox News.
Trump expressed his belief that ending the war in Ukraine also depends on China, as Beijing has influence over the Kremlin.
"If Europe did something with respect to China, I think China would probably, maybe, force an end to the war," said the US president.
The US has, for some time, been actively urging G7 countries to impose tariffs of up to 100% on China and India for purchasing Russian oil. The US is also pressuring the European Union to include restrictions and duties against Beijing and New Delhi in the next sanctions package.
At the same time, the EU, as recently reported, is indeed preparing measures against China and India, the main financiers of the Russian economy. However, there is an inconvenient detail: the most "compromised" banks and refineries in both countries will be added to the EU’s blacklist, but the EU will not impose actual sanctions or duties against Beijing and New Delhi.
