Trump urges European countries to impose Russia sanctions themselves – Rubio

US President Donald Trump wants European countries to impose on Russia the same sanctions they expect from Washington, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.
Rubio was asked how much time Trump would give Russian President Vladimir Putin before moving to sanctions against Russia.
In response, the Secretary of State said that everyone "fully" understands what sanctions the United States can impose.
"At some point, the President may decide to do that. That'll be his decision to make. He's not going to go around and artificially announce a time frame," Rubio added.
According to the American official, it is also important that Europe imposes sanctions, as some European countries continue to purchase Russian products, particularly oil.
"And what the President has challenged our European partners is to impose the sanctions themselves that they're asking us to impose. So if they feel deeply committed to this, they should take – we want to encourage them to actually do the things they're asking us to do," he added.
Sanctions against Russia
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that his patience with Russia is running out very quickly.
According to the American leader, he is ready to impose severe sanctions against Russia if NATO allies do the same.
At the same time, Trump criticized the fact that Europe's sanctions against Russia are not strong enough.
