Trump to cut Putin’s 50-day deadline, citing major disappointment

US President Donald Trump, who gave Russia's Vladimir Putin 50 days to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine, has made a new statement. He said that he is already disappointed with Putin's actions and is ready to shorten this period.
Trump said that agreements to end the war have been reached many times,” but then Putin violated them by striking Ukraine.
"We thought we had that settled numerous times, and then President Putin goes out and starts launching rockets at some city like Kyiv and kills a lot of people in a nursing home or whatever, bodies are lying all over the street. And I say that's not the way to do it. So we'll see what happens," he said.
The president said he intends to reduce the deadline of the ultimatum he gave Russia to end the war.
"I am disappointed in President Putin. Very disappointed in him. I am gonna reduce that 50 days I gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer to what's gonna happen," Trump said.
Trump's 50-day ultimatum
US President Donald Trump threatened Russia with new sanctions if Vladimir Putin does not agree to end the war against Ukraine. He gave Moscow 50 days to make a decision.
He promised to impose 100% secondary tariffs that would threaten countries that continue to trade with Russia.
Reuters reported that such measures could affect Russian oil exports to China, India, and Türkiye.
In response to Trump's statement, Indian Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that his country would be able to meet its oil needs from alternative sources.
At the same time, the American leader said that if Putin does not agree to meet the deadline and agree to a peace deal, it will turn out very badly for Russia.
