Trump to appoint head of his social network to head intelligence council

Trump has appointed the head of the Intelligence Council. It is the CEO of Truth Social, Devin Nunes, reports Reuters.
Trump has appointed his ally Nunes, who currently runs Trump's social media platform Truth Social, to chair the US President's Intelligence Advisory Board.
He said that Nunes, his longtime defender who chaired the House Intelligence Committee during Trump's first term in the White House, would remain CEO of Truth Social while serving on the advisory group.
“Devin will draw on his experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the US Intelligence Community’s activities,” Trump said.
Trump is assembling a team
After winning the US presidential election on November 5, Donald Trump began actively announcing the names of likely members of his new administration.
Although there are almost no openly pro-Russian figures among them, many of the future top officials have proven to be big skeptics of Ukraine.
In particular, Trump appointed Senator Mark Rubio as Secretary of State.
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will head two positions in his administration: Department of the Interior and the new US National Energy Council.
Trump chose Caroline Leavitt, a member of his previous administration, as his new press secretary.
Boris Epstein, a native of Russia, may become a special envoy for peace in Ukraine.
Trump also chose Elise Stefanik, who called the UN a “cesspool of anti-Semitism,” to be the US ambassador to the UN.
