Future US President Donald Trump has appointed three more individuals to his administration: the Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Director of National Intelligence, according to The Guardian and Donald Trump's social media account on X.

Trump has officially named Senator Marco Rubio as his future Secretary of State. US media had previously reported his candidacy.

"It is my Great Honor to announce that Senator Marco Rubio, of Florida, is hereby nominated to be The United States Secretary of State. Marco is a Highly Respected Leader, and a very powerful Voice for Freedom. He will be a strong Advocate for our Nation, a true friend to our Allies, and a fearless Warrior who will never back down to our adversaries," said the President-elect.

Trump also nominated Congressman Matt Gaetz for the position of US Attorney General in his administration.

The Republican is known for being the first in US history to initiate the removal of Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, a fellow party member.

Gaetz holds an anti-Ukrainian stance; last summer, he expressed in an interview that if given a choice between admitting Russia or Ukraine into NATO, it would make more sense to choose Russia, as he believed this would be more beneficial in the long term.

In February 2023, Gaetz introduced a resolution urging the Biden administration to cease military and financial assistance to Ukraine.

Trump also plans to appoint Tulsi Gabbard as the Director of National Intelligence.

The former Democrat is known for her 2017 meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and her criticism of the US operation that targeted Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

Gabbard has also referred to US policy on Ukraine as another Afghanistan and has spread misinformation and Russian narratives about the war in Ukraine.

She claimed, among other things, that there were allegedly 25 US-run biolabs in Ukraine and that the US provoked Russian President Vladimir Putin to start the war.

Trump won the election and is assembling his team

Last week, Donald Trump secured a decisive victory in the US presidential election.

His inauguration is expected to take place on January 20, 2025. Until then, Joe Biden remains president.

Trump has already announced key figures in his upcoming administration. While there are few openly pro-Russian individuals among them, many of the future top officials are known to be skeptical about Ukraine.
