Trump to appear on new US $1 coin, Fox Business reports

The United States is considering minting new $1 coins featuring President Donald Trump, Fox Business reports.
An unnamed Treasury Department official told the outlet that the Trump coin could be minted as part of an initiative commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

"While a final $1 coin design has not yet been selected to commemorate the United States' semiquincentennial, this first draft reflects well the enduring spirit of our country and democracy, even in the face of immense obstacles. We look forward to sharing more soon," the official said.
Fox Business also shared a sketch of the coin, showing Trump against an American flag backdrop with a raised fist. The sketch resembles a well-known photo taken during last year’s assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania, when he was shot at and Secret Service agents escorted him off the stage.
The Trump portrait controversy
Earlier, in March, President Trump demanded the removal of his portrait from the gallery of American leaders’ portraits in the Colorado State Capitol.
According to Trump, the artist made his portrait the worst among all. He claimed that the artist had lost her talent with age.
Trump requested that Colorado Governor Jared Polis remove his portrait.
