Trump still believes Russia can be negotiated with – Ukraine's Presidential Office

The United States of America, after the conversation between the head of the White House, Donald Trump, and the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, continues to believe that an agreement with Russia is possible, Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine states.
Podolyak noted that after the negotiations between Trump and Putin, “the status quo has not changed.” According to him, Ukraine offers the only realistic way out of the war, which lies in the immediate and unconditional ceasefire. In particular, Kyiv is supported by Europe, which realizes the risks that the war carries.
"The USA has remained a global mediator, which still believes that Russia is capable of reaching agreements and is ready to exit the war for the sake of business/interests. And there is the unchanging position of Russia, which still wants war, destruction, killings, because it considers them the only way for the existence of its current state. There is Russia, which is not ready and categorically does not want a ceasefire," added the Advisor to the Head of Office of the President of Ukraine.
