Trump slams nations recognizing Palestine at UN General Assembly: Reward for Hamas

Hamas militants continue to refuse to end the war with Israel. Recognition of the Palestinian state by some countries is too big a reward for terrorists, said US President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly.
"As if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize the Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists, for their atrocities, including October 7," he said.
Trump added that Hamas refuses to release hostages or accept a ceasefire. He noted that Hamas has already "taken so much". Trump emphasized that the world now needs to unite under one message: "Release the hostages now."
The US leader said the war in the Gaza Strip must stop immediately, and this requires negotiations as well as the release of all hostages.
Recognition of Palestine
Earlier, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Portugal, and France recognized the Palestinian state.
In particular, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the decision during his address at the UN General Assembly.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting on these moves, stressed that they threaten Israel’s existence.
