Trump says US 'can easily open' Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has published a new statement on the Strait of Hormuz on his Truth Social.
What Trump said
"With a little more time, we can easily open the Hormuz Strait, take the oil, and make a fortune. It would be a "gusher" for the world?" he wrote.
The post came amid the ongoing war between the United States and Israel against Iran, which has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping. Earlier, Trump had already threatened to take control of Kharg Island — Iran’s main oil export terminal.
Trump’s statements have already impacted the global oil market.
On Thursday, April 2, the price of physical Dated Brent crude exceeded $140 per barrel, reaching its highest level since 2008. Traders are concerned about continued attacks on Iran, and experts predict further increases.
At the same time, Politico writes that the Pentagon is facing a difficult situation: key strategic targets for bombing in Iran are nearly exhausted, but Trump has ordered strikes to continue for another three weeks. The President now faces a choice between a humiliating retreat or a risky ground operation.
