'It's in my brain': Trump says he has his deadline for possible sanctions against Russia

US President Donald Trump has his own deadline in mind for when to impose sanctions against Russia, he said during a conversation with journalists at the White House.
Journalists asked Trump whether he was considering imposing additional sanctions against Russia, as this issue has been discussed for weeks and months.
"When I see the moment when we're not going to make a deal, when this thing won't stop. When I see the moment it's not going to stop, we're going to be very tough. It could be on both countries. It takes two to tango," Trump said.
Sanctions against Russia
On May 20, the European Union officially approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia. At the same time, Brussels has already begun work on the next stage of restrictions.
In turn, US President Donald Trump also said that he is considering imposing sanctions against Russia. However, Washington is not rushing to make a decision at this time. According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, imposing restrictions at this point could lead to Moscow withdrawing from negotiations to end the war against Ukraine.
Meanwhile, initiatives for a tougher approach have already emerged in the US Congress. In particular, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has introduced a bill that would impose "bone-crushing" sanctions against Russia. The document refers to a 500% tariff on imports of goods from countries that continue to purchase Russian energy resources, including oil, gas, petroleum products, and uranium.
