Trump says he expects Iran's complete capitulation

The United States has not reached out to Iran for peace talks and is instead expecting Tehran's full capitulation, President Donald Trump says during an interview aboard Air Force One.
When asked by a reporter whether a ceasefire could be the best outcome, Trump rejected the idea outright.
"An end. A real end. Not a ceasefire - an end. Giving up entirely" Trump said.
The US President added that such a surrender from Iran could happen very soon.
Trump noted that if Iran wants to talk, its leaders know how to reach the US. He criticized the Iranian leadership for failing to strike a deal over its nuclear program, and said he is now less interested in negotiations than before.
"They should have made the deal. I told them - take the deal. So I don't know. I'm not in the mood for talks. They should've accepted the deal that was on the table - it would have saved many lives," Trump added.
Iran nuclear deal
The United States has so far failed to finalize a new nuclear agreement with Iran. Amid the prolonged deadlock, Israel has launched strikes on Iranian territory.
The reports also indicated that US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Vice President JD Vance may hold talks with Iranian officials this week to discuss the nuclear deal. If the meeting takes place, they are expected to talk with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Commenting on RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel, former Israeli ambassador to Russia Arkady Mil-Man said Israel cannot destroy the Fordow nuclear facility without US support.
