Israel can't destroy Iran's nuclear site in Fordow on its own, as it's located deep underground in a mountain, former diplomat, Israeli ambassador to Russia Arkady Mil-Man, stated in a comment to RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.

"Fordow is a critical site for the production of a nuclear bomb because it is located deep underground in a mountain. Only the Americans have missiles capable of striking it," Mil-Man emphasized.

He clarified that even if the US supplies such missiles to Israel, the country lacks aircraft capable of carrying them. Only American long-range bombers can carry out such an operation.

"If the US decides not to bomb, nothing will happen," the diplomat stressed.

Attack on Fordow

On June 13, reports emerged that Israel had attacked Iran's underground nuclear complex at Fordow. Smoke was seen in the vicinity of the facility.

The site is located deep beneath mountainous terrain.

According to satellite images, a retaining wall on the mountainside collapsed following the strike.
