The US should provide Ukraine with everything it needs so that the US military does not have to fight Russia, says former US Permanent Representative to the UN and US presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

According to Haley, once Russian dictator Vladimir Putin succeeds in seizing Ukraine, the next victims of his aggression will be Poland and the Baltic states, which are NATO members.

"And if that happens, those are NATO countries. That immediately puts America at war. That is what we are trying to avoid. And that’s why this aid package [for Ukraine - ed.] is so important," she said

Therefore, according to the Republican presidential candidate, the United States should provide Ukraine with everything it needs to repel Russian aggression.

"Ukraine's not asking for troops, they’re just asking for the equipment and ammunition to win this war. They have a great fighting force. We need to give them what they need so that they can win so that we can prevent sending any of our military men and women to fight," Haley emphasized.

Nikki Haley is the main rival of former US President Donald Trump for the right to run for the Republican presidential nomination. Who will represent the Republicans in the election is decided by an internal party vote.

Elections in the United States
The US presidential election will be held in November 2024. Incumbent President Joe Biden will run for a second term.

At the same time, Trump and Haley are currently fighting for the right to be nominated by the Republican Party. In his campaign speeches, Trump has repeatedly stated that he is capable of ending Russia's war against Ukraine within 24 hours of being elected president, but could not explain how.

In addition, Trump recently suggested that the United States should provide Ukraine with military assistance in loans.
