President Donald Trump said he believes Ukraine and Russia will be able to reach an agreement to end the war during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Trump recalled that he had a lengthy conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which he spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I think they both want to make a deal. It's too bad it took so long. But I think there’s going to be – something’s going to come out," the US President said.
He also noted that the Turkish President is helping support diplomatic efforts aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
Separately, Trump said he "can't stand watching what's happening" on the battlefield in Ukraine.
"I've seen the pictures of those battlefields. And it's a drone war. It's a war of drones. It's a whole new technology... People wouldn't believe how violent it is. And I've seen the battlefields," he added.
