Trump ready to impose more secondary sanctions, including on China

US President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of imposing secondary sanctions against the People’s Republic of China, according to a White House broadcast.
A journalist asked the president whether he had plans to impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods, similar to those introduced against India.
"It may happen. I mean, I don't know. I can't tell you yet, but I can. We did it with we did it with India. We're doing it probably with a couple of others. One of them could be China," Trump said.
US tariffs on India
On August 6, Trump signed an order imposing an additional 25% tariff on India. The move was prompted by India’s commercial ties with Russia.
The order will take effect in 21 days, though its terms may still be adjusted.
Earlier, Indian Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri did not rule out ending purchases of Russian oil if the US imposes secondary tariffs.

In addition, Trump did not rule out introducing 25% tariffs on other countries that continue to buy Russian oil.
